Job Overview
This position is responsible for the simple maintenance and upkeep of the building and resident units, handling routine repairs and general facility needs to support a clean, safe, and well-functioning community.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs throughout the building, common areas, and resident units
- Respond to maintenance requests from residents and staff in a timely and courteous manner
- Complete basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and painting repairs
- Assist with unit turnovers between residents, including repairs, touch-up painting, and general upkeep
- Maintain building exteriors, walkways, and grounds as needed
- Monitor and report larger issues to management
- Keep basic records of completed work and communicate status updates clearly
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents, families, and staff
QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior experience in maintenance, facilities, or handyman work a requirement
- Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repair techniques
- Comfortable lifting, standing, bending, and climbing ladders as needed for the role
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Friendly, patient, and respectful manner when working around senior residents
- Valid driver's license preferred
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
