Riverside Regional Jail is currently accepting applications for a Compliance Specialist.
Duties
This position supports compliance with American Correctional Association (ACA) standards, Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) standards, Virginia Board of Local and Regional Jails (VABLRJ) standards, and other applicable federal, state, and local regulations. The Compliance Specialist assists with audits, inspections, policy development, performance monitoring, and special projects to ensure the agency maintains compliance with all applicable standards while supporting continuous improvement in correctional operations. Other duties and functions will be assigned as deemed necessary. Must possess a valid Virginia driver’s license.
Education And Experience
An Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Corrections, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or a related field is preferred. Experience in corrections, compliance, accreditation, auditing, inspections, policy development, or a related field preferred. Knowledge of ACA, PREA, VABLRJ standards, or the ability to obtain such knowledge within a reasonable period.
Salary: $57,850 – $84,973
