What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Tech position at RIVERSIDE METRO AUTO GROUP LLC?
A successful Service Technician delivers quality and productive workmanship on each and every repair/diagnostic performed.
Key Job Responsibilities include:
- Perform vehicle services as outlined in the repair order
- Conduct vehicle inspections, document and notify service advisor of findings including labor and parts.
- Accurately document all work performed.
- Problem solve and provide alternative solutions to advisors and customers as needed.
- Communicate with advisors and services managers in a professional manner on a daily basis.
- Complete and stay current on all trainings set forth by manufacturer to improve product knowledge and customer service.
- Follow all shop policy, procedure, safety and environmental rules.
- Maintain cleanliness of vehicles and work area while performing service or repairs.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Professional demeanor and work ethic including a demonstrated ability to take initiative.
- Ability to drive manual transmission preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a clean DMV record
- Minimum of three years of automotive repair and diagnostics experience. (Franchise experience preferred.)
- Online training completed with ASE and/or franchise certifications preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires bending, reaching,
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
