This position starts August 2026.
Rates listed are for 25-26 School Year, and will be updated upon completion of Extra Duty MOU.
Although the official fall season doesn't start until August of 2026, there will be various activities, planning and interactions which will take place prior to the season as part of preparation.
Start Date: August 2026 Riverside High School seeks a highly qualified individual to serve as the Head Volleyball Coach. This coach will be the Head Coach of the program. We will be a 2A OSAA Athletic Program for the 2026-2027 school year.
Riverside High School: Riverside is the newest comprehensive high school in the West Linn-Wilsonville School District. We are a school of choice for all students within the district. We will be a 2A OSAA Athletic Program for the 2026-2027 school year.
A successful candidate will possess the following qualities:
-Previous Head Coaching experience preferred.
-High ethical and professional standards.
-A thorough knowledge of Volleyball, skill development, and coaching techniques.
-The presence to be a role model for student athletes and the public face of the program.
-A commitment to the importance of academic excellence and achievement for all student-athletes in the program.
-Demonstrate ability to lead young athletes.
-A highly tuned ability to communicate effectively to a variety of stakeholders.
-Skill in organization, time management, and public relations.
-Employ good judgment in a variety of situations including emergencies.
The Riverside Head Volleyball Coach will be responsible for the following:
-Recruit student-athletes into the Volleyball program.
-Develop and implement an off-season program for athletics.
-Advocate for multi-sport athletes
-Provide regular communication with parents/families.
-Regularly track the academic process of all student athletes in the program and facilitate necessary supports to ensure their academic eligibility.
-Work effectively and collaborate with other athletic programs to ensure off season/summer opportunities.
-Cooperate with other school-sponsored sports and encourage athletes to compete in other programs.
-Hold all student athletes and coaching staff to high expectations.
-Help develop the youth program below 9th grade level.
-Work with local media as needed and establish strong working relationships with community support groups.
