Salary: $135,000 plus profit sharing

Riverside Health and Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (RN) to lead the nursing department at our skilled nursing facility in Trenton, New Jersey.

This is a strong leadership opportunity for a Registered Nurse with skilled nursing or long term care leadership experience who is focused on quality care, regulatory compliance, and building a strong clinical team.

Position Summary

The Director of Nursing is responsible for the overall leadership and oversight of the nursing department within the skilled nursing facility. This role ensures high standards of clinical care, regulatory compliance, and resident safety while supporting the development of a strong and accountable nursing team.

The Director of Nursing works closely with facility leadership to maintain survey readiness, support quality improvement initiatives, and ensure excellent outcomes for residents receiving post-acute rehabilitation and long term care services.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all nursing operations within the skilled nursing facility
Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and CMS regulations
Lead and support nursing leadership including unit managers and nursing staff
Maintain high standards for clinical quality, infection control, and resident safety
Support strong outcomes in post-acute rehabilitation and long term care
Maintain survey readiness and regulatory compliance
Monitor staffing, scheduling, and overall nursing department performance
Drive quality improvement and clinical outcomes

Qualifications

Active RN license in New Jersey
Experience in a skilled nursing facility or long term care setting
Prior leadership experience as a Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, or Unit Manager preferred
Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and the survey process
Strong leadership and communication skills
