About Us
Riverside Food Lab is a dynamic, high-volume food hall located in downtown Riverside, featuring a diverse lineup of local food concepts and a central bar program. We focus on delivering a clean, welcoming, and community-driven environment where guests can gather, dine, and enjoy quality beverages.
As part of a broader hospitality group, this role may also support operations across shared common areas and collaborate with neighboring concepts to ensure a cohesive guest experience.
We are seeking experienced, professional Bartenders who can operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong service standards, cleanliness, and guest engagement.
Our new bar will be opening in the place of the former Brass Monkey Social Bar and Cocktail Lounge located inside Riverside Food Lab.
Job Responsibilities - Bar Operations
- Prepare and serve beer, wine, and craft cocktails accurately and efficiently
- Maintain full knowledge of menu offerings and provide recommendations to guests
- Follow all alcohol service guidelines, including ID verification procedures
- Operate POS system and handle cash and card transactions responsibly
- Maintain composure and efficiency during high-volume service periods
Cleanliness & Common Area Support
- Maintain a clean and organized bar, including bar top, wells, and service stations
- Help support cleanliness of surrounding seating and shared common areas
- Monitor guest areas and address spills or sanitation needs promptly
- Restock bar inventory, ice, glassware, and supplies throughout the shift
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards
Guest Experience
- Provide friendly, attentive, and efficient service in a high-traffic environment
- Create a welcoming and approachable atmosphere for a wide range of guests
- Address minor guest concerns and escalate issues to management when necessary
- Contribute to a safe, clean, and well-managed environment for all guests
Qualifications
- Previous bartending experience required
- Knowledge of basic cocktail preparation and beer service
- Strong understanding of responsible alcohol service practices
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Comfortable working evenings and weekends (required)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
- Current Food Handler Card and RBS Certification (or ability to obtain)
