Optical Supervisor

We are seeking a leader for the optical department in our three, modern ophthalmology practices in St. Clair and Macomb Counties. The candidate should demonstrate excellent leadership skills, as well as confidence and patience providing customer service in a fast paced environment. The ideal candidate should also have a working knowledge of optics which should include: ordering and measuring for glasses and contact lenses, sales, fitting frames, and a basic knowledge of computers. Attention to detail is essential for this position. All weekends and holidays off. Please respond with resume.

Responsibilities

• Ability to lead the optical department at our three busy offices.
• Effectively communicate with staff and doctors to ensure that optical employees are staying on task and entering orders correctly.
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients in selecting eyewear that meets their needs.
• Stay updated on optical products and trends to enhance retail sales and customer satisfaction.
• Manage inventory and perform laboratory tasks as needed to ensure efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Strong retail sales experience with a focus on customer service in an optical setting
• Experience with EMR systems and medical records management
• Optical experience
• Management experience

Pay is negotiable and will be commensurate with the candidate's experience level and certifications.
