Job Summary

The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing IT personnel and daily operations within the IT department.

Physical demands associated with this position may include: sitting, standing, walking, alternative sitting or standing at

will, lifting or carrying up to 25lbs, pushing/pulling, stooping, crouching, kneeling, crawling, and or climbing.

Responsibilities:

IT Management

  • Management and creation of apps and tools (Google Appsheet, Google Lookers Studio, Blackbaud Raiser Edge Nxt.) for data, users, issues, support, new features and all interconnected sources
  • Manage database and creation of reports via Google Looker Studio
  • ACP Printer contract management and general upkeep.
  • Cisco-based (Meraki) network to facilitate all internet and device connection needs.
  • Google Cloud Database Administration – Manage, maintain, and migrate all REC organizational databases to ensure security, integrity, and accessibility across programs.
  • Technology Oversight & Infrastructure Management – Oversee all REC technology (approx. 300 devices, software, and hardware), including updates, system reliability, and cybersecurity threat monitoring.
  • System Development & Training – Lead software development, rollout, and organization-wide tech training to improve efficiency and adoption of new tools.
  • Inventory Management – Direct device lifecycle management, including inventory creation, tracking, and optimization of asset management systems.
  • Help Desk & Ticketing Operations – Manage and streamline ticketing systems for IT, Operations, Bus, and Inventory requests, ensuring timely resolution and support.

Administrative

  • Assist with community inquires (info requests, IT issues during registration)
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Expert knowledge of IT best practices, policies and regulations
  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field preferred
  • In-depth understanding of programming, computer science and digital security
  • Programming language concept understandings (specifically javascript and html)
  • A clear understanding of client/server technology and network architecture
  • Proficiency in Google WorkSpace
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interact with people of all ages and backgrounds
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects and assignments, often with competing deadlines
  • Bilingual skills beneficial, but not mandatory

Position Details:

  • Full-time (40 hours per week)
  • $25-27/hr. Hourly compensation rate based on qualifications and experience
  • Health insurance or $600 Monthly Health Stipend

  • Accrued 2 weeks PTO per year
  • Ten (10) paid holidays
  • One week (5 days) scheduled closure in December (paid)
