This role supports weekly payroll by processing timecards for approximately 200 employees during peak season. The position works closely with project managers and field leaders to ensure accurate time reporting and job costing, making it a collaborative position that connects field and office teams. Strong organization, time management, and communication skills are key to staying on track and meeting weekly deadlines.
Schedule: Weekdays 8:00 – 5:00 with an optional lunch hour and occasional opportunities for overtime
Job Type: Full-time, in-office
Wage Range: $25.00 per hour, DOE
Responsibilities:
· Validate and adjust time entries to ensure accurate payroll processing
· Use electronic timecard and payroll processing systems
· Manage deductions, garnishments, and levies in compliance with applicable laws
· Provide access and support to users in the employee portal and timecard app
· Monitor employee portal settings to ensure timely delivery of paystubs and related documents
· Coordinate with HR to onboard new employees and maintain employee files
· Serve as backup to the receptionist in greeting visitors and directing calls
· Respond to unemployment insurance claims and related inquiries
· Prepare certified payroll reports and supporting documentation for audits and periodic reporting
· Participate in special projects as needed
Skills and Qualifications:
· Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with a high level of discretion

· Clear and professional communication skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
· Previous payroll experience and/or relevant education preferred
