We are seeking a dedicated and visionary full-time, tenure-track faculty member who is committed to advancing student success and equity in the field of criminal justice.

The successful candidate will be responsible for lecture and/or laboratory instruction in a range of Administration of Justice courses aimed at preparing students for careers in modern criminal investigations. Faculty are also expected to contribute to program development (e.g., growth of internships, community partnerships, career pipelines), student advising (e.g., mentoring, club leadership), and departmental service (e.g., program review, assessment, curriculum) in addition to work that advances the mission of the college and district. Teaching assignment may include early morning (e.g., 7am), day, evening, weekend, online, hybrid, and/or off campus classes.

1. This is a long-term temporary, non-tenure track position for the 2025-2026academic year. RCCD employees who have served in a long-term temporary capacity within the last three years are not eligible to apply for this position.
2. Salary is commensurate with academic preparation, and full-time teaching or equivalent experience with a range from Column B, Step 1 to Column H, Step 6 of the current Faculty Salary Schedule.
3. Medical and dental benefits are provided for the employee and legal dependents.
4. A $50,000 life insurance policy is provided for the employee.
5. Orientation to college is required as is adherence to Improvement of Instruction policy.
6. Maintaining broad knowledge of the academic or occupational area and design pedagogy related to learning outcomes is expected.
