Duties
- Lead group exercise classes such as aerobics, cycling, yoga, Pilates, dance-based workouts, CrossFit, or kickboxing with enthusiasm and professionalism.
- Develop innovative class programs that incorporate principles of physiology, anatomy, body mechanics, and program design to ensure safe and effective workouts.
- Demonstrate proper exercise techniques and provide modifications to accommodate different fitness levels and physical limitations.
- Foster an inclusive environment that encourages participation, motivation, and camaraderie among class members.
- Promote the health club’s services by engaging participants in additional offerings like personal training or fitness sales opportunities.
- Maintain safety standards by monitoring participants’ form and ensuring equipment is used correctly.
- Keep accurate attendance records and gather feedback to improve class quality continuously.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in group fitness instruction or related fields such as personal training, sports coaching, or gym instruction.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, body mechanics, and exercise science principles.
- Certification in group fitness instruction from recognized organizations (e.g., ACE, NASM) is preferred; relevant certifications in yoga, Pilates, cycling, CrossFit, or dance are highly valued.
- Demonstrated ability to teach diverse classes including yoga, Pilates, cycling, dance-based workouts, kickboxing, or sports coaching.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage participants of all ages and fitness levels.
- Passion for health and wellness with a proactive attitude toward helping others achieve their goals.
- Ability to adapt class content based on participant needs while maintaining high energy levels throughout sessions.
