Duties
- Safely pack items using appropriate materials to prevent damage during transit
- Load and unload boxes, furniture, and equipment onto trucks using manual techniques or equipment like shoulder straps, floor rollers, Dollie's, hand trucks.
- Operate box trucks or commercial vehicles with automatic transmissions
- Use heavy lifting techniques to move large or bulky items efficiently and safely
- Ensure all items are secured properly for transport to prevent shifting or damage during transit
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, trucks, and packing stations
Requirements
- Prior experience in warehouse operations, moving, or delivery driving preferred but not required; training provided for the right candidate
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively throughout the day
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving or courier services is a plus
- Strong customer service skills to communicate professionally with clients during pickups and deliveries
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and move items consistently during shifts
