Rivers Health is seeking a Per-diem Courier for Outreach Operations.
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for picking up laboratory specimens from outreach facilities
utilizing private or corporate owned vehicle.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Picks up laboratory specimens from outreach facilities utilizing
private or corporate owned vehicle.
- Maintains courier log on a daily basis, or as needed.
- Maintains a mileage log on a daily and/or as needed basis.
- Demonstrates excellence in customer service skills.
- Participates in PI process.
- Complies with Corporate Policies, Departmental Policies and
Procedures and Personnel Employee Handbook.
- Delivers specimens to the outpatient lab department for processing.
- Identifies self to outreach facilities and picks up specimen and
paperwork.
- Transport specimens in appropriate container according to
regulations.
- Mileage calculation will be calculated according to hospital policy
for per diem courier services.
- Performs other duties that may be assigned.
EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING:
High school diploma or equivalent. Reading and writing skills are essential. Basic math skills. A valid driver's license with a good
driving record, as defined by Rivers Health Driver Evaluation form. Completion of Rivers Health Driver Safety Documentation Form.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Previous courier experience is preferred.
