Position Needed: Heavy Equipment Operator
Position Hours: Monday – Friday 7:45 am to 4:30 pm, and Saturday 7:45 am – 12:00 pm
Job Description:
- Greeting and assisting customers with unloading their scrap materials.
- Operating heavy equipment and/or forklift.
- Maintaining clean, well-maintained machines
- Maintaining an organized and safe work area for customers and employees.
- Identifying ferrous and non-ferrous metals and grading accordingly.
- Identifying hazardous and non-metal materials.
- Prepping various metals through use of various tools and machines for processing.
- Must adhere to all company safety and operation policy guidelines.
- Light mechanical work for regular maintenance on machines.
Qualifications:
- Heavy Equipment experience (Bucket loaders, large material handlers, Al-Jon baler, large shear machine)
- Ensuring customer and employee safety is the #1 priority.
- Knowledge of various ferrous & non-ferrous metals.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Team player with professional work ethics.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must be able to demonstrate attendance dependability and consistency.
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
Compensation:
Paid, on-site training.
