Job Functions:

• Welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner.
• Seats guests and manages the seating chart.
• Monitors restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow.
• Responds to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner. Performs opening and closing duties, as needed.
• Assists others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc.
• Helps fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships.
• Help guests with reservations and guide them to their table or the betting window.
• Giving guests accurate wait time estimates and adding guest names to the waitlist.
• Providing guests with menus and answering any initial questions they may have. Optimizing seating at different tables to ensure even workload for the servers. Uses the POS (Point of Sale) system and handheld device effectively and accurately.
• Explain menu items and offer appropriate suggestions to guests.
• Take accurate Take Out orders, using a Micros POS system.
• Participates in departmental meetings as required
• Keeps rotation sheets filled out.
• Upholds standards by setting examples with appearance and work ethic
• Works to ensure a clean and sanitary work area at all times
• Handles any guest's complaints or problems in a prompt and courteous manner
• Complies with all departmental rules, side work assignments, and departmental procedures
• Performs other duties specified or assigned

Job Requirements:

• Understand and comply with all company and departmental rules, policies and procedures.
• Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff.
• Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English.
• Ability to communicate with Team members and guests.
• Ability to successfully fulfill the pre-employment process.
• Frequent walking, standing, kneeling, sitting, twisting, bending, & lifting.
• Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to understand the concept of cash handling, making change and counting it back to customers.
• Requires regular, predictable attendance.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays.
