Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Riverquest Group Home is hiring dependable and compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and adults with physical and developmental disabilities (APDD). What You’ll Do
- Follow each resident’s RSP and document progress throughout your shift
- Assist with personal care, hygiene, grooming, and mobility
- Support daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry
- Help residents participate in community outings, appointments, and social activities
- Monitor and report changes in health, behavior, or mood
- Administer medications (training provided)
- Use approved de‑escalation and crisis‑intervention techniques
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized home environment
- Complete shift notes, incident reports, and medication logs accurately and on time

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in direct care or IDD services (preferred but not required)
- Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid, and medication administration certifications
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist with transfers
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Ability to pass all Alaska background checks
