What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Advisory - Director position at Riveron?
As a Director in our Accounting Advisory (AA) practice, you will be part of a team working hand in hand with our clients to help them navigate strategic business initiatives, technical accounting, and financial reporting matters associated with significant business growth or events – such as a carve-out, IPO, merger, or accounting function transformation. At its core, the work we do in AA is driven by change, which means that the projects are dynamic in nature and the impact of your leadership will be highly visible.
In addition to leading a team of consultants and owning vital client relationships, at the Director level you will enhance your business toolkit by supporting senior leadership’s strategy for developing the practice and increasing Riveron’s brand recognition in the market. We expect Directors to own client relationships, manage large/multiple teams, invest in developing the next generation of talent, and act as leaders within the firm. \n- Advise leadership teams at client organizations on complex accounting and financial reporting issues related to significant business transformations
- Advise clients on research, technical matters, and execution of business initiatives
- Partner with client leadership to achieve critical finance and business objectives from issuance of financial statement audits, carve-outs, IPO’s, GAAP conversions, business combinations, and other complex initiatives
- Contribute actively to the development of people leaders into future practice leaders
- Engage with the market through thought leadership, relationship management, and networking events to contribute toward the firm’s growth objectives
- Provide guidance and issue resolution support to teams across multiple concurrent client engagements
- Partner with practice leaders to conduct business development activities
- You have a passion for sustaining long-term client relationships

- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting or related field of study
- Minimum 10 years of experience within an audit and/or industry accounting role
- Advanced knowledge of accounting standards such as GAAP, GAAS, and/or IFRS
