Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive technology curricula that incorporate current learning technologies, coding, digital citizenship, and multimedia skills.
- Develop lesson plans tailored to various learning styles and adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of students with disabilities or special education requirements.
- Manage classroom environments effectively through classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies to create a positive learning atmosphere.
- Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to deliver lessons, track student progress, and facilitate online learning components.
- Courses to include Robotics, 3D Printing, Makerspace, and Lower School Technology
- Analyze student performance data to identify areas for improvement and customize instructional approaches accordingly.
- Support students from diverse cultural backgrounds by fostering an inclusive classroom that respects different perspectives and experiences.
- Maintain compliance with educational regulations and standards while integrating literacy education, math, writing skills, and other core subjects into technology lessons.
- Conduct assessments aligned with standardized testing protocols and provide tutoring or additional support as needed to enhance student achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, school initiatives, and extracurricular activities related to technology and digital literacy.
Skills
- Proven experience in classroom teaching with strong classroom management skills.
- Expertise in curriculum development across various grade levels with emphasis on technology integration.
- Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Google Classroom, Canvas, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of special education practices and experience working with students with disabilities or diverse learning needs.
- Familiarity with childhood development principles, behavior management strategies, and learning styles adaptability.
- Ability to analyze student performance data effectively to inform instruction and improve outcomes.
- Strong communication skills for engaging students, parents, colleagues, and administrators clearly and professionally.
- Experience working in private school settings or Montessori environments is a plus.
- Understanding of educational compliance regulations related to technology use and student privacy.
- Skills in tutoring, literacy education, math instruction, writing skills development, and library services are highly desirable.
