Role Description The Technology Teacher is a full-time, on-site position located at Rivermont Collegiate in Bettendorf, IA. This role is responsible for planning and delivering technology-focused instruction to students across appropriate grade levels, aligning lessons with the school’s college preparatory mission. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and implementing engaging technology lessons, integrating educational technology tools into classroom activities, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback. The Technology Teacher collaborates with colleagues on curriculum initiatives, supports school-wide technology projects, and helps maintain a classroom environment that is safe, inclusive, and conducive to learning. Additional duties include participating in professional development, communicating with families as needed, and contributing to school events and activities.
Qualifications
- Ability to design and implement effective Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development that supports a college preparatory environment.
- Demonstrated Teaching and Education experience, preferably in K-12 settings, with a focus on engaging diverse learners.
- Proficiency in Educational Technology, including integrating digital tools, platforms, and resources into daily instruction.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills, with a commitment to an inclusive and multicultural learning environment.
