Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide high-quality support to individuals in need of assistance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, including experience in assisted living, home health, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their safety and comfort.
Types of Residents
Our residents are adults with various disabilities, including developmental, intellectual, physical, or mental health conditions.
Our home provides a safe and structured environment where adults with disabilities can live with dignity and respect, they deserve. We are staffed by trained professionals and licensed by the Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD).
Qualifications:
- male; female - willing to work 3-5 days/week
- High School graduate - ability to work with adults with developmental disabilities
- valid working documents
- Be able to Level 2 background check
- CPR and First Aid certification (if not we can help you obtain)

5 days paid annual vacation (up to $750 maximum) after 1 year of employment and satisfactory working performance
Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide personal care services including medication administration and monitoring vital signs.
- Engage in patient observation to ensure the well-being of clients and report any changes in condition.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning based on dietary needs.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Support clients with mobility assistance using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Facilitate social interaction and companionship for clients to promote emotional well-being.
- Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations.
- Provide specialized care for clients with Alzheimer's, dementia, or autism as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as nursing home or hospice care is preferred.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR is essential; certification is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges.
- Familiarity with home & community care practices and direct support for individuals with disabilities.
- Compassionate approach towards providing senior care and understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with developmental disabilities.
