Grow with Purpose at Rivermark

Rivermark Community Credit Union is a local, not-for-profit financial cooperative serving communities across Oregon and Washington. As a member-owned organization, we help people build stronger financial futures through better rates, lower fees, and personalized financial solutions.

Our purpose is simple: we transform lives and communities together. That same commitment extends to our employees. We've built a culture where people feel valued, supported, and empowered to grow. We celebrate diverse experiences and perspectives and strive to create an environment where everyone feels a genuine sense of belonging and can show up as their authentic self.

Build your career where you belong and help strengthen the communities you call home. At Rivermark, you'll grow with purpose, support your neighbors, and be part of something bigger.

About the Role

As a Bilingual Member Advisor in our Member Service Center (Call Center), you’ll be the voice of Rivermark for our members, building strong relationships and delivering exceptional service primarily by phone and through follow-up channels like email and callbacks. You’ll help members with everything from account maintenance and disputes to IRA questions, loan inquiries, and digital banking support, always with accuracy, care, and a focus on getting it right the first time.

This is a role for a natural problem-solver who genuinely enjoys helping people. You’ll use your communication skills and sound judgment to understand member needs, recommend the right solutions, and advocate for positive outcomes, even in tricky or emotional conversations. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and want your work to make a real difference in people’s financial lives, we’d love to meet you.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver responsive, member-centered service in a high-volume phone environment, processing transactions, account openings and closings, and servicing requests with accuracy and professionalism
  • Handle routine and complex account maintenance, including disputes, deceased member account support, digital banking troubleshooting, IRA inquiries, and general loan questions
  • Take ownership of concerns that require research or follow-up, keeping members informed and seeing requests through to resolution
  • De-escalate difficult conversations with calm professionalism and escalate to management when needed
  • Follow security, verification, and fraud prevention procedures on every interaction, and recognize and escalate suspected fraud or unusual activity
  • Deepen member relationships through consultative, needs-based conversations, recommending products and connecting members with financial education and coaching resources
  • Help members use digital banking and self-service tools confidently, using technology like screen sharing and AI-assisted guidance to enhance each interaction
  • Step in to support coworkers and provide backup so members always receive seamless service
  • Maintain thorough, accurate documentation and ensure all activities comply with policies, regulations, and member privacy expectations
Qualifications:

What You’ll Bring

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • A minimum of two years of customer service experience, preferably at a financial institution
  • A minimum of one year of experience within a contact center
  • Strong ability to provide excellent member service and recommend or refer products and services that support member needs
  • Ability to take ownership of each interaction, including callbacks, research, follow-up, and escalation when needed
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently across several systems and service platforms at once
  • Working knowledge of financial products, security procedures, fraud prevention practices, and account servicing requirements
  • Strong research and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Must be available to work 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday - Friday, and some Saturdays 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m
  • Initial 70 days of training on-site
  • This position is a hybrid work model
  • Spanish speaking skills required
