Duties
- Operate lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other power tools to maintain lawns and landscaped areas efficiently.
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as edging, pruning, planting, and mulching to enhance the aesthetic appeal of outdoor spaces.
- Use hand tools and equipment like shovels, rakes, and hoes for planting, soil preparation, and landscape installation projects.
- Assist with tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and removal using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Support irrigation system installation and maintenance to ensure proper watering of gardens and lawns.
- Conduct snow plowing operations during winter months to keep pathways clear and safe for clients.
- Maintain equipment through regular inspections and basic repairs to ensure optimal performance during all seasons.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge to operate and troubleshoot landscaping machinery and power tools effectively.
- Extensive experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, and horticulture practices.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as pruners, shovels, rakes, and hoes; familiarity with power tools including trimmers and blowers.
- Ability to operate larger equipment like excavators or other construction machinery when needed for hardscape or landscape projects.
- Knowledge of tree care techniques including trimming, pruning, and removal procedures.
- Understanding of irrigation systems installation and maintenance for efficient water management.
- Experience in snow plowing operations during winter seasons for property safety.
- Good physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions; attention to detail in completing tasks accurately.
