1 year Special Education Teacher

Riverdale School is looking for a talented special educator to join our team in a one year position for the 2025-2026 school year. 

Candidates must hold a Massachusetts Teacher License in Special Education. Dual certifications and prior classroom experience preferred.

 Responsibilites include:

• plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences through the District curriculum with modifications and accomodations as needed.
• establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities
• use relevant technology to support instruction
• observe and evaluate student performance and development
• provide appropriate feedback on work
• encourage and monitor the progress of individual students
• maintain accurate and complete records of student progress and development
• prepare required reports on students and activities, such as. progress reports and IEPs.
• manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures
• participate in department and school meetings, parent meetings
• communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues and parents regarding student progress and student needs
• collaborate with special education stff, general education staff and support staff
