What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nursery Attendant position at Riverchase United Methodist Church?
Position Summary:
This position cares for children three years old and under during Sunday and Wednesday church services, and for different church events we provide childcare for older kids as needed.
Essential Skills and Responsibilities:
*Supervise, engage with, and care for children while assisting with development milestones as appropriate.
*Assist with separation anxiety by meeting parents at the door and encouraging the parents and children.
*Interact and build relationships with children, families, staff, and volunteers.
*Prepare and maintain a safe, organized, and clean environment.
Qualifications:
*Experience in early childhood development preferred.
*Must be willing to participate in and pass a criminal background check.
Physical Requirements:
*Ability to navigate the church campus, stand, bend, crouch, and sit in a nursery environment.
*Willingness to work non-traditional hours.
*Must be able to lift and carry children safely
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
