What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Family Advocate position at Riverbend Head Start & Family Services?
Education/Credentials/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Work or related field required. Experience with home visiting, case management, family and community resources strongly preferred. Experience in working with culturally diverse community/families also preferred. Supervisory experience required. Must be able to provide their own transportation to and from work and throughout the work day.
This position directly supervises Family Advocates. Responsibilities include supporting the implementation of a seamless continuum of pre-natal through age 5 home and center-based programming. Lead Family Advocates are responsible for ensuring that Family Advocates are adequately trained to meet Head Start program performance standards and outcome objectives for child health, development, early childhood education, family development and case management. This position functions as a member of the program management team by participating and contributing to program leadership meetings. The Lead Family Advocate supports the Center Supervisors in the implementation of established program policies and procedures. The Lead Family Advocate provides direct services to children and families enrolled in the program as needed and represents the program and Agency throughout the communities served.

Pay: $51,009.00 - $60,011.00 per year
