Responsibilities
- Assist with animal husbandry duties, including feeding, watering, grooming, and general care of livestock such as cattle
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment like tractors, plows, and irrigation systems with safety and precision
- Perform lifting tasks involving feed bags, hay bales, or equipment parts to support daily farm operations
- Conduct routine maintenance on tools and machinery
- Use hand tools and power tools for planting, harvesting, fencing, or greenhouse work
Requirements
- Prior experience with livestock preferred
- Experience livestock reproduction preferred
- Experience with animal handling and husbandry practices across various species; knowledge of cattle care is especially valued
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts or other powered machinery safely
- Basic math skills for measuring feed quantities, calculating crop yields or irrigation needs
- Ability or willingness to perform basic carpentry
- Ability to keep a clean work environment
- Ability to recognize obvious tasks (ie you see trash, you pick it up)
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
