Position Summary
The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery and equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This role supports production goals by minimizing downtime, maintaining equipment in optimal condition, and assisting with continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic).
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions, diagnosing root causes of mechanical, electrical, or control system failures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and work orders to perform required maintenance and repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Assist with installation, setup, and commissioning of new equipment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while promoting a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize disruptions and improve equipment reliability.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical, or related field preferred.
- 2 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and automated equipment a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures, noise levels, and exposure to industrial materials.
