River Valley Lawnscape in Red Wing is hiring a dependable Lawn Care and Snow Removal Specialist to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with lawn care or landscaping experience who enjoys working outside, staying active, and seeing the results of their work at the end of the day.
This is not a desk job. It’s a hands-on role for someone who knows how to operate equipment, work efficiently, and take pride in maintaining residential and commercial properties.

Position Overview
As a Lawn Care and Snow Removal Specialist, you will maintain residential and commercial properties by performing mowing, trimming, seasonal cleanup, and winter snow removal. You will operate commercial lawn equipment while working outdoors in a fast-paced environment that values independence, reliability, and quality work.
This is a seasonal full-time role with consistent summer hours and snow removal opportunities during winter months, with potential for long-term employment for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Mow lawns using commercial riding lawnmowers
- Trim grass along sidewalks, buildings, fences, and landscaping
- Trim shrubs, hedges, and landscape features
- Perform fall cleanups including leaf removal, debris cleanup, and property preparation
- Assist with snow removal, plowing, and winter property maintenance
- Operate lawn care equipment and power tools safely and efficiently
- Maintain clean, organized equipment and work areas
- Complete general property maintenance tasks as assigned
- Work independently while maintaining productivity and quality standards
Qualifications
Required:
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Strong work ethic and willingness to work outdoors
- Ability to work independently and stay on task
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Lawn care, landscaping, property maintenance, or snow removal experience
- Experience operating riding lawnmowers or commercial lawn equipment
- Snow plowing or snow removal equipment experience
Work Schedule
Summer Schedule:
- Four 10-hour days per week (Monday through Thursday), weather permitting
- Typical hours: 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
- Hours may vary depending on weather and workload
- On-call snow removal schedule
- Hours based on snowfall and weather conditions
Compensation
Hourly Pay Winter Snow Incentive Pay (Stable seasonal income with upside)
Typical Summer Earnings:
$17.00 – $21.00 per hour depending on lawn care or landscaping experience
Winter Snow Removal Pay:
$30.00 per hour during snow events
