River Valley Family Health Centers is looing for an experienced Accounting and Payroll Clerk to join our team in Olathe, Colorado. The Payroll & Accounting Clerk supports the financial operations of a community health clinic by ensuring accurate, timely processing of payroll and performing essential accounting duties. This role is responsible for compiling and maintaining employee timekeeping records, preparing payroll data, and assisting with benefits‑related reconciliation. In addition, the Payroll & Accounting Clerk performs a variety of accounting tasks, including data entry, account reconciliation, invoice processing, and maintaining financial records in accordance with clinic policies and regulatory requirements.

A day in the life of the Accounting and Payroll Clerk includes:
- Reviewing time sheets and PTO, and entering change forms and other information in the HRIS to accurately compensate employees on a bi-weekly basis.
- Assisting employees with payroll corrections and benefit deductions, and coordinating pay policies while employees are on a leave of absence.
- Using accounting software to accurately record and store information, reconcile bank accounts, pay approved invoices, and ensure that accounts are up to date.
- Prepare and make physical and electronic bank deposits and transfers.
- Complete and assist with various audits.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Some related college courses preferred.
- Ability to travel between clinics as needed.
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with team members and others.
- Ability to apply critical thinking/logic to complete tasks.
- Have and display high attention to accuracy and detail.
- Must demonstrate cultural sensitivity when working with individuals and groups of diverse racial, ethnic, economic, and social backgrounds.
- Ability to utilize a computer for time keeping, documenting electronic medical records, and to complete follow-up tasks.
- Ability to work flexible hours to meet job requirements.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Bilingual candidates are preferred.
This position requires long periods of standing and walking, sitting at a computer, the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 pounds, etc. Employees are not directly exposed to blood or body fluids, but other occupational hazards may exist. All employees are required to complete mandatory vaccines, such as Tdap, Hep A, Hep B, MMR, Varicella, and the yearly flu vaccine.
