High School Math Teacher
Job Summary
The High School Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality, Christ-centered instruction that nurtures students academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. This role requires developing and implementing lessons aligned with academic standards and biblical principles while fostering a safe, engaging, and spiritually encouraging learning environment. Teachers at RVCS actively model Christian character, collaborate with colleagues, and partner with families to cultivate a thriving, faith-filled educational community.
Scope of Role
The High School Teacher is a key contributor to students’ academic and spiritual formation. This role involves instructional leadership, classroom management, curriculum implementation, and active participation in the spiritual life of the school. All roles at RVCS embody our mission and staff values in every interaction, shaping a Christ-centered culture where students can grow in knowledge, faith, and character.
Essential Roles & Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Instruction & Student Learning
• Deliver engaging instruction that integrates biblical principles and a Christian worldview.
• Develop, implement, and adapt lesson plans to meet diverse learning needs.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and meaningful feedback.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and spiritually encouraging classroom environment.
Spiritual Formation
• Encourage spiritual development through prayer, Bible study, and intentional faith integration in lessons.
• Model Christian values by fostering a Christ-centered learning community.
• Demonstrate a personal commitment through active participation in a local Bible-based church.
Collaboration & Communication
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional strategies and maintain academic excellence.
Professional & School Engagement
• Participate in school events, chapels, faculty meetings, and extracurricular activities.
• Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional, spiritual, and instructional growth.
• Uphold school policies, procedures, and the mission of River Valley Christian School.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
• Current ACSI certification
o Candidates must be eligible for and willing to pursue certification with ACSI if not currently credentialed within a 6 month’s timeframe.
• Valid teaching certification/license for the applicable grade level or subject area (preferred)
• Experience in a Christian school or integrating faith into instruction (preferred)
Salary & Benefits
River Valley’s compensation for full-time faculty positions corresponds with the education and experience of the final appointed candidate. Part-time salaries will be prorated based on sections of teaching.
