What You'll Do
- Administer and help optimize QuickBooks Online.
- Prepare deposit entries and deposit reconciliations.
- Support the general ledger and month-end close process (cash basis).
- Prepare location-level financial reports and management reporting.
- Prepare sales and use tax filings.
- Maintain vendor records and accounting system integrity.
- Partner on accounting process improvements and internal controls.
- Support financial compliance activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through technology and automation.
- Serve as an internal accounting resource while partnering with the Senior Director of Finance on more complex accounting matters.
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- 3 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Experience using QuickBooks Online or a comparable accounting system.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial statements, bank reconciliations, sales and use tax, and month-end accounting processes.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience in a multi-location healthcare, dental, or professional-services environment.
- Strong QuickBooks Online proficiency.
- Has developed a strong accounting foundation and wants greater ownership.
- Enjoys improving processes-not just maintaining them.
