What are the responsibilities and job description for the Speech Therapist position at River Therapies?
River Therapies is a private therapy company located in the Fox Chapel community of Pennsylvania. We specialize in outpatient, early intervention, and school-based therapy services. Our mission is to serve God, by helping children surpass what others said they would never achieve.
We are seeking a Speech Therapist to join our team. Our company offers speech therapists the current opportunity to provide services in Early Intervention in Allegheny County (birth to three population).
As a member of the therapy department, you will work closely with River Administration to ensure the delivery of effective, day-to-day therapy services, as well as collaborate with members of our therapy department and outside medical professionals to deliver the highest quality of care to the patients you serve. In Early Intervention, you will collaborate with Service Coordination and the other therapy members of your team to have a collaborative approach to therapy services in the least restrictive environment for the patient.

- provide daily speech therapy sessions to patients identified as requiring services
- complete daily documentation
- complete progress reports and all other required paperwork for Early Intervention services in Allegheny County
- maintain required communication with families and staff for the betterment of each patient
- regular meetings with administration staff to discuss caseloads, answer questions, and promote overall employment success
- collaborate with all members of the patient's therapy team, including families, to ensure the highest quality outcome for each patient
Our ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of relevant experience and the following credentials/skills:
- Licensed Speech Therapist in Pennsylvania. Clinical Fellows are welcome to apply! River Therapies, Inc. has a wonderful mentor program!
- excellent communication skills
- professional and positive work ethic
- pediatric experience is preferred, but not required
- passion for the field of pediatric speech therapy
