We are currently hiring for the following positions:
Host / Hostess
Our hosts are the first friendly faces guests see when they walk into River Street Sweets.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with a warm and friendly attitude
- Provide samples and engage customers in our products
- Maintain a clean and inviting front-of-store environment
- Assist guests with product questions and recommendations
- Support the sales team during busy periods
Ideal Candidate
- Outgoing and personable
- Excellent customer service skills
- Comfortable speaking with guests and offering samples
- Able to multitask in a busy retail environment
Candy Maker
Candy Makers are responsible for preparing our signature sweets and maintaining our high quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare candies, pralines, fudge, and specialty sweets
- Follow company recipes and production procedures
- Maintain food safety and cleanliness standards
- Assist with daily production and kitchen organization
- Support product preparation for store sales
Ideal Candidate
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a kitchen environment
- Food service or kitchen experience preferred
- Passion for baking or confectionery is a plus
Ice Cream Maker
Help create the delicious homemade ice cream our guests love.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ice cream batches according to recipes
- Monitor consistency, quality, and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness of ice cream equipment
- Assist with inventory and ingredient preparation
- Ensure proper food safety practices
Ideal Candidate
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow recipes and procedures
- Kitchen or food preparation experience preferred

Trainer
Trainers help new team members learn the River Street Sweets standard for guest service, product knowledge, and operations.
Responsibilities
- Train new hires on store procedures and guest service
- Demonstrate product knowledge and sales techniques
- Coach team members to meet company standards
- Assist leadership with onboarding and development
- Help maintain a positive team culture
Ideal Candidate
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Previous retail or food service experience
- Ability to mentor and motivate team members
- Reliable and detail oriented
Team Leader
Team Leaders help oversee daily operations and support management to ensure smooth store performance.
Responsibilities
- Assist with shift leadership and team support
- Ensure excellent guest service standards
- Help manage labor, cleanliness, and store organization
- Support training and development of team members
- Assist with opening and closing procedures

- Leadership experience in retail or food service
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
