Job Summary

River's Edge Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is a 120-bed facility, provides a warm and caring environment for short-term rehab patients, and long- term residents including memory care. Our team of seasoned staff work together to offer excellent service and care to each resident.

The Cook serves an important role as an assistant for all dietary functions. Under the supervision of the Dietary Director the Cook will handle and deliver food services in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare meals and snacks for residents in accordance with sanitary regulations as well as established procedures
• Serve meals and snacks in accordance with approved menu spreadsheets in a palatable and appetizing manner
• Serve meals in accordance with established portion control procedures
• Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties and in accordance with established facility procedures
• Report all hazardous conditions and broken equipment to the Dietary Director
• Maintain food storage areas including refrigerators and freezers in a clean and sanitary manner
• Report food complaints and suggestions to the Dietary Director
• Perform other job-related duties as required
  
  
  

Job Qualifications:

• Long-term care experience preferred
• At least 5 years experience preferred
• Experience in handling food services preferred

Pay: $16.50-18.50
