Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with clinical procedures including animal restraint, catheterization, and laboratory testing to ensure smooth workflow and accurate results.
- Perform animal husbandry duties such as feeding, bathing, grooming, and monitoring health status to promote optimal well-being.
- Prepare animals for diagnostic imaging procedures like X-ray, ensuring proper positioning and aseptic technique.
- Maintain detailed medical records, update patient charts, and document treatments accurately in compliance with clinic protocols.
- Support pet owners with post-operative care instructions, medication administration, and general pet care guidance.
- Handle patients with professionalism in animal handling.
- Maintain cleanliness of the clinic environment by sterilizing instruments and adhering to safety standards.
- Contribute to the team by participating in ongoing training related to veterinary terminology, animal physiology, dental terminology, and critical care procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a veterinary technician or assistant with knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal anatomy.
- Strong kennel experience along with familiarity in pet grooming, dog handling, and animal restraint techniques.
- Practical laboratory experience including sample collection, processing, and analysis; familiarity with X-ray procedures is preferred.
- Knowledge of aseptic technique to prevent infection during invasive procedures such as animal catheterization.
- Ability to handle animals confidently.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members while demonstrating compassion for animals.
- Basic understanding of dental terminology and experience supporting dental procedures is advantageous.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
