Maintenance Assistant

As a Maintenance Assistant, you will work closely with our Maintenance Director to perform a range of tasks that support the optimal operation of our facility. Your expertise in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical tasks will help ensure that our building is safe, efficient, and comfortable for our patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Carpentry: Repair and install doors, windows, cabinets, and other wooden structures. Construct and assemble furniture and fixtures as needed.
Plumbing: Address plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, and faulty fixtures. Install and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, valves, and water heaters.
Electrical: Conduct electrical repairs and installations, including wiring, lighting, and outlets. Ensure all electrical systems are up to code and function safely.
Assist in general maintenance tasks, including painting, drywall repair, and essential HVAC maintenance.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
Perform routine inspections of facilities to identify and address potential problems.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, including materials and time spent.
Collaborate with other team members to complete larger projects and renovations.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects as needed.
Basic knowledge of HVAC systems is a plus.

Education and Experience:

Technical training or certification in carpentry, plumbing, or electrical work is preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a maintenance or related role.
