Job Summary
River Pig Saloon is looking for a dependable and energetic Food Runner to support the restaurant team during busy service periods. The Food Runner will deliver prepared dishes to guests, assist servers and kitchen staff, maintain clean service areas, and help ensure food reaches the table quickly and accurately.
Responsibilities
- Deliver prepared food from the kitchen to the correct tables promptly.
- Verify food presentation and order accuracy before delivery.
- Communicate with kitchen and front-of-house team members throughout service.
- Assist servers with clearing and resetting tables when needed.
- Keep food service areas clean, organized, and stocked.
- Help maintain proper food temperatures during service.
- Assist with basic side work and restaurant cleaning duties.
- Support the team during busy lunch, dinner, and weekend shifts.
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Respond to guest requests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Help with opening and closing duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a busy restaurant.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Good attention to detail and order accuracy.
- Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to carry food trays and safely handle dishes.
