River of Life is an urban Christian school, which opened in Benton Harbor, Michigan in
2014. Modeling a new educational paradigm for families/children through the love and hope from knowing Jesus is its mission. “A Christian school any family can afford” is the motto. We will have capacity for approximately 50 students in grades K-6.
For the school year 2025-2026 we are looking for dedicated and innovative elementary teachers who thrive in an environment of:
- Small class size to individualize/differentiate instruction and develop strong interpersonal connections (Currently searching for a Kindergarten- 1st grade teacher)
- Teacher support and active volunteers
- Bible instruction to nurture personal faith with prayer and worship
- Multi-grade configuration to maximize student success
- Clear standards-based curriculum with support materials and staff
- Priority on developing the whole child with specialty instruction in art, music, physical education, Spanish, and technology use
- Engaged learning activities connecting content with the real world
- Service to others
- Collaborative learning environment to enfold the family and community
- Multi-cultural focus to develop global citizens
Salary with healthcare stipend - $40,000 depending on experience
Teacher certification preferred or in process
