A Tail-Wagging Journey
Your day-to-day adventure will include:
What You’ll Be Working On
- Engaging and communicating with clients in a professional, friendly demeanor
- Getting and maintaining patient medical history information
- Following Fear Free Procedures to safely handle and restrain animals
- Monitoring and recording observations of all patients and reporting observations to doctors
- Performing nursing care for patients such as ear cleaning, basic bandage, medical baths and more
- Assisting the doctor with patient treatments, procedures and activities
- Administering anesthesia or sedatives to control pain under direction of a veterinarian
- Obtaining quality samples for diagnostic testing
- Preparing and capturing diagnostic radiographs
- Performing x-ray and laboratory tests to assist in diagnosis and treatment
- Performing surgery room and equipment preparations as well as post-operation sterilization and cleaning
- Performing dental procedures including appropriate medical documentation and reporting to the doctor
