Basic Job Functions:
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
- Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures.
- Maintain and repair all equipment including but not limited to shredder, eddy current, baler, etc.
- Change liners, grates, hammers, etc. on the shredder.
- Assist other maintenance and production personnel during scheduled repair projects and normal production.
- Operate mobile equipment as needed.
- Work in outdoor and indoor environments.
- Minor cleanup and other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 2 years previous maintenance experience preferred.
- Welding and fabrication experience.
- Ability to work 4pm - 12am Monday - Friday ** some Saturdays as needed
- Flexible to work off hours and overtime.
- Welding experience preferred.
