Patient Access Clerk - Emergency Department - Per Diem

River Hospital is seeking a Per Diem Patient Access Clerk for our Emergency Department.

Job Purpose
Responsibilities of this job include inpatient and outpatient registration for all inpatient and ancillary departments. Responsible for switchboard operations, petty cash, mail distribution. Responsible for the organization and management of the Admissions office, its records, files and necessary systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a related position is preferred
• PC and keyboard skills required
• Accurate clerical skills
• Good organizational skills
• Excellent communication/interpersonal skills necessary

It is the employee's responsibility to know the requirements for certification, limited permit and licensure for their individual profession. The employee will comply with all of the requirements outlined by the New York State Office of professions for the particular profession.
