We’re looking for a trustworthy, responsible, and customer-focused Part-Time Mall Safety Security Officer to help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all visitors, tenants, and staff at River Hills Mall. This role is evening shifts, with a requirement for weekend availability.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Service First – Be approachable, helpful, and a visible presence throughout the mall.
- Open/close the mall according to scheduled hours.
- Conduct foot and vehicle patrols of mall premises.
- Monitor for suspicious activity or safety/security issues.
- Respond calmly and appropriately to emergencies and alarms.
- Coordinate with fire, law enforcement, or medical personnel when needed.
- Assist with crowd control and escort non-compliant individuals as necessary.
- Enforce mall code of conduct in a professional manner.
- Complete detailed daily reports and incident documentation.
- Uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
- Wear a provided security uniform for visibility and authority.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must have open availability, including weekends and holidays.
- Previous security experience preferred, but not required.
- Excellent observation and communication skills.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and respond appropriately to various situations.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Must be physically able to be on your feet for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license required.
