Church Security Officer

Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Church Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of Community Church at Lake Wylie congregation, staff, and property. This role involves monitoring church premises, managing security protocols, and responding effectively to emergencies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security, law enforcement, or related fields, with excellent conflict management skills and a commitment to maintaining a safe environment for all attendees.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure safety and security of all areas.
• Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, including medical situations, conflicts, or security breaches.
• Enforce safety policies and procedures during services, events, and gatherings.
• Maintain clear communication with church leadership and emergency services when necessary.
• Assist in crowd control during large events or services to ensure orderly conduct.
• Keep detailed incident reports and document any security-related activities or concerns.
• Utilize conflict management skills to de-escalate tense situations effectively.
• Provide first aid or CPR if required until professional help arrives.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, security, or related fields is preferred.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not already certified.
• Strong conflict management and crisis response skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle stressful situations professionally.
• Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or special events as needed.
• A commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all church attendees and staff.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4.0 per week
