Position SummaryThe Landscape Project Manager leads landscape construction projects from pre-construction through final completion. In this role, you will plan and coordinate field execution, support our foremen and crews, manage materials and schedules, monitor job costs, and maintain proactive communication with clients and internal teams. Your ultimate goal is to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on budget, and to our precise RHOS quality standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Field ExecutionManage assigned landscape projects from kickoff through completion.
Review project scope, plans, specifications, budgets, and timelines before work begins.
Build and maintain comprehensive project schedules for labor, equipment, materials, deliveries, and subcontractor support.
Coordinate daily and weekly field execution, anticipating needs to resolve issues before they delay production.
Partner closely with foremen, field supervisors, dispatch, and operations to support daily production, provide clear direction on priorities, and coach field leaders.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor work quality, safety, productivity, and customer experience.
Coordinate the timely delivery of materials, equipment, and supplies to minimize crew downtime.
Work closely with vendors and suppliers to confirm orders, availability, and resolve any delivery issues.
Monitor labor, material, and equipment costs against the budget using job cost reports and production data.
Identify and escalate cost overruns, labor inefficiencies, or scope issues early.
Support administrative workflows including progress billing, T&M billing, receipts/vendor bill verification, and change order documentation.
Utilize LMN and related software to manage job progress, tracking, daily instructions, and organized project records (plans, permits, notes).
Review and approve crew timesheets accurately and in a timely manner.
Serve as a primary, professional point of contact for homeowners, commercial clients, general contractors, and internal teams.
Manage client expectations by providing proactive updates on schedules, progress, or field challenges.
Lead successful project closeouts, confirming punch-list completion, coordinating final billing support, and capturing lessons learned.
Experience: 7 years of landscape construction, outdoor construction, or related project management experience preferred.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of landscape installation, hardscapes, planting, grading, irrigation, and general field operations.
Financial/Technical Aptitude: Working knowledge of job costing, budgeting, scheduling, and production planning.
Plan Reading: Demonstrated ability to accurately read and interpret landscape plans, scopes, and specifications.
Software Skills: Comfortable using project tracking and scheduling software; proficiency with email, spreadsheets, and standard office software.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Fluency in English is required to review plans, documentation, and communicate with clients and teams.
License: Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
LMN Experience: Strong preference for candidates with hands-on experience using LMN software.
Language: Bilingual English/Spanish skills.
Local Insight: Familiarity with Minnesota landscape construction operations, seasonal workflows, and field logistics.
Advanced Project Management: Experience with T&M billing, change orders, subcontractor coordination, and design-build environments.
