Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to enhance their shopping experience
- Assist customers in selecting products, offering product demos and upselling where appropriate to maximize sales opportunities
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked with the latest products
- Conduct inventory checks, stock replenishment, and organize stockroom areas efficiently
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries or taking orders over the phone
- Support supervising staff with training new team members and overseeing daily store operations when needed
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience, preferably in a grocery store or specialty shop environment
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and retail math to handle transactions confidently
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in both English and bilingual settings (preferred)
- Experience in supervising or leading teams is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities and supervisory experience
- Ability to perform merchandising, stocking, and product demos with enthusiasm and attention to detail
- Knowledge of customer service best practices and phone etiquette to create positive interactions
- Basic math skills necessary for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction accuracy
