Program Overview:
River Edge is actively looking for a Full-time Group Leader to join the Baldwin Outpatient Unit. In this role, you will play a key part in facilitating group sessions, contributing to the therapeutic environment, and supporting the mental health and well-being of participants. Key Responsibilities:
- Provides a broad range of paraprofessional social services to patients/clients/consumers, participates in treatment team planning, and performs crisis intervention.
- Assists in dealing with personal and social problems.
- May provide support to consumers and serve as a liaison for social services.
- Prepares lesson plans for group topics, maintains medical records and documents daily group notes.
- Performs case management duties, and group skills training and refers clients to needed services and resources.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a social service-related field (social work, sociology, psychology, etc.).
- License eligible in one of the following: LAPC, LMSW, LAMFT, LMFT, LPC, LCSW
- At least one (1) year working with behavioral health clients (mental health, substance abuse, developmental disabilities).
