Recreational Cannabis Retail Sales/Budtender
River Driver is a small family-owned company with retail stores in Brunswick and Lisbon Falls. We are seeking full time, part time and per diem employees with a passion for customer service and working in the cannabis industry.
The Budtender's main function is to provide an excellenct customer service experience by being friendly, knowledgeable, and compassionate. They will assist customers through the process of understanding, selecting and purchasing cannabis products and accessories and help keep our stores clean and organized. The ideal Budtender is a self-starter, excellent communicator and has a collaborative mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Warmly greet and create a friendly environment for our customers - get to know them and seek to understand their interest in cannabis
- Verify all customers entering the store have a valid government issued ID that shows they are 21
- Assist customers in identifying the products and methods that best fit their individual needs
- Operate POS system and efficiently and accurately process payments
- Provide guidance and educate each customer with cannabis needs
- Stay informed on menu changes so you can accurately assist our customers
- Assist with inventory receiving, labeling, organization, restocking and counting
- Perform daily, opening, closing and cleaning duties
- Continue to enhance your knowledge of cannabis and improve your ability to educate customers

- Ability to communicate quickly, efficiently, & clearly in person and on the telephone in a friendly, knowledgeable, and positive manner

- Punctual with reliable transportation

- Understanding of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry
Education & Experience:
- Must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass state required background check annually
- 1 year of customer service experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must keep an active IIC card at all times
- A passion for educating on the benefits cannabis required
Physical requirements:
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
