Newtown, PA | Part Time; Monday-Friday 12pm-6pm | $15.50-$17.00 per hour

What is needed for this job

• High school diploma
• Are 18 and have 1 years of experience working with children in a professional, volunteer, or familial capacity
• Passionate about working with children in a fun, diverse environment
• Ability to pass all relevant clearances

The responsibilities we will trust you with:

• Finding new and engaging ways to help kids learn
• Being patient and kind with our parents
• Cultivating and fostering a safe and nurturing environment that will encourage physical, emotional, and intellectual growth of children in the program
• Break coverage and planning time for infant through kindergarten staff during rest time
• Spending the afternoon in older 2-3 year old classroom assisting with nap time clean up, toileting and diapering children, afternoon snack provision, parent pickup packing, and supervising playground or classroom time before pickup
• Utilizing state and YMCA guidelines to ensure the safety and well being of the children
