Position Summary:
Mental Health Technicians provide direct care and supervision for residents, assure residents are kept safe, learn and practice appropriate hygiene and self-help skills, and are aware of rules and expectations. Act as a role model for residents, demonstrating effective problem solving and decision-making skills. Assist in providing recreational and therapeutic activities for the residents, transporting residents to and from medical appointments, and assuring scheduled programming is carried out. Perform duties as assigned in accordance with the ANA Standards of Practice for Psychiatric Mental Health Care, and facility mission, values, policies, and behavioral standards. Mental Health Technicians report to the Milieu Manager under the direction of Director of Nursing.
$1,000.00 Retention Bonus
Experience: A minimum of one (1) year experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.
Licensure: Current valid Driver's license, CPR certification and training in appropriate use of Seclusion and Restraint within 30 days of employment. Certifications may be obtained during new hire orientation.
Work Hours: Days 6am-6pm, Nights 6pm-6am 12 hour shift : rotating weekends : Shift Diff available
