**Duties**
- Assist dentists and hygienists with patient care, including preparing treatment rooms and sterilizing equipment.
- Participate in X-rays, endodontics, and other procedures under the supervision of a dentist or hygienist.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and dental charts.
- Use medical coding skills to accurately record patient data.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of dental anatomy and prosthodontics.
- Familiarize yourself with electronic medical records systems, including Epic.
- Provide patient education and communicate effectively with patients and their families.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to aseptic technique at all times.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as answering phones and scheduling appointments.
**Skills**
- Proven experience in a dental setting with a focus on assisting with procedures.
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control practices.
- Experience with X-ray equipment and endodontics.
- Familiarity with medical coding and electronic medical records systems, including Epic.
- Strong understanding of dental anatomy and prosthodontics.
