We are currently hiring qualified Security Officers for a restricted site assignment in the Jacksonville area. Because of the requirements of this post, applicants must already possess an active DoD security clearance and meet all Florida security licensing requirements.
This role requires a dependable officer who can follow established procedures, maintain professionalism, and remain alert in a controlled security environment.
Position Duties
Security Officers assigned to this post may be responsible for:
- Managing access control at a secured facility
- Verifying credentials, identification, and authorization for employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors
- Monitoring assigned areas and maintaining awareness of site activity
- Conducting patrols in accordance with site-specific post orders
- Responding to alarms, incidents, safety concerns, or unusual activity
- Documenting daily activity, incidents, patrols, and security checks through electronic reporting systems
- Following client, federal, and River City Security procedures at all times
- Reporting concerns through the appropriate chain of command
- Maintaining a professional appearance and conduct while on duty
Required Qualifications
Applicants must have:
- Active Florida Class D Security License
- Active DoD Security Clearance / Secret Clearance
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to pass a drug screening
- Reliable transportation
- Professional communication skills
- Ability to stand, walk, patrol, and remain attentive for extended periods
- Ability to follow strict site protocols and security procedures
- Dependability and consistent attendance
Preferred Qualifications
The following are helpful but not required:
- Prior military experience
- Law enforcement, corrections, or federal security background
- TWIC card
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience working in restricted, cleared, government, or high-security environments

Shift Availability

Secret Clearance is required.
